He bit his lip and closed his eyes, still facing the window. The part of his mind that filtered out bad things didn't seem to be working at the moment. Hearing her say that really got to him. In his mind he pictured drowning her in the bathroom sink, that helped him calm down a little, but not much.
His eyes opened, then he turned around to look at her. "Well then little girlie, you should be paranoid too!" He was grinning again, that wicked grin frozen on his face, but his eyes seemed slightly out of it. He would not remember this later, you could tell that now just by looking at him. "Because I'm not going to let them string me up! You'd love that, i bet you would! But no, because if anything but anything comes here for me, I'll take it out.... then you.... then myself" It wasn't really clear if that was a real threat or just mindless chatter, maybe both. And with that he gave a manic giggle and waved one hand, as if dismissing her "Now go upstairs or something, i don't really want you here at the moment"

After all that she could feel her anger leaving and it was replaced with fear again. She didn't argue she quickly walked up the stairs, she really didn't want to be in the same room with him anymore.
No matter what happened she was screwed, if someone did come looking that wasn't Hansel she was going to get killed anyways. When she got to the top of the stairs she didn't even know where to go. Then she remembered the room that she stayed in before. Sighing she walked into the room and sunk down onto the floor, leaning against the frame of the bed in there. She pulled her knees closer to her and rested her chin on her knees. The tears that had been threatning to come out before, started to spill out. She really wished Hansel was there, he would have made things better.

Stupid stupid girl Why couldn't she just behave and not say nasty things?! He didn't want to upset her! He just wanted her to be happy... in his own twisted way. She brought it all on herself and now they were both upset. He didn't stay mad at her for very long, there really wasn't much he could blame her for. Next he was just angry at himself. Stupid Stupid Stupid! Why did he have to have a temper? Why couldn't he just keep his trap shut, instead of yelling all that at her. She was 16, she had an excuse to be snappy, he really should have grown out of temper tantrums by now.
The Witch shook his head and pulled himself away from the window to go sit down on the sofa. First he just stayed there, staring forward at nothing in particular. He kind of wanted to go say sorry to her, but at the same time he was still really really mad at her. He lay down on his side and pulled his knees up to his chest, now staring right at the front door. He couldn't believe he had said he would kill her. Why the hell did he say that? What was even more worrying was that when he thought about weather or not he actually could do that, he didn't know. 'Its to late now, just let her go Zeque, she hates you anyway' "Shut up... i don't want to" He said out loud to himself, deciding to stop thinking about it and concentrate on the door instead.

Gretal kept an eye on the door, even though she was crying and she would have rathered to hide her face and cry, it was just a instinct, even though she had openly already cried in front of him. She didn't like the sympothy, it felt so fake.
She could hear what sounded like he was talking, she really doubted that someone was there, so she had no clue who he was talking to.
She closed her eyes and thought back to what he had said. Being told that he would kill her was a little shocking. She didn't know if he would actually go through with it but she was still nervous.

He watched the front door, going over now in his mind all the ways he might react if it were to suddenly swing open. It probably wasn't helping, giving himself new things to worry about but it was a lot better then thinking about what had just happened. That then brought him on to thinking about weather or not you have time to feel pain if you are shot in the head. He had seen people shot before, they had screamed. If you had time to scream then you must have time to be in pain. He shuddered a little. So if someone came in and shot him dead he would feel it. OK this really was starting to upset him again, he felt kind of claustrophobic for a moment too. thinking that he could die in this house made him feel as if he were living in his own coffin.
"Whats wrong with you?! Don't think those things!" He told himself, rolling off the sofa and standing up. He had to do something. Laying there and thinking was not a good idea right now if all he would let himself think about were nasty bad things. He looked at the stairs. How long had he been down here on his own>? No idea, but still he felt like ti was more then long enough. Time to go see if he could fix this, or at least talk to her without doing any more damage.
He walked up and headed for 'her' door, tapping on it softly rather then just going in without asking. "Gretal?" He asked quietly, leaning back on the wall besides her door and letting his back slide down it until he was sitting on the landing floor. This was fine, he would talk though the door. "I'm really sorry, i didn't mean it..."

She felt herself jump when she heard a light knocking on the door. She was tempted to get up and answer it but she stayed put. She kept her eyes on the door as if she expected him to come busting in at any moment.
She got up and walked over by the door but sat back down by the wall. She liked the fact that there was a door and wall between him, she felt a little safer. She had no clue if he was still pissed at her, about what she had said. Sure it was a little scary about what he said, but she didn't feel bad about what she had said, it was the truth.
When he said he was sorry, she shook her head and smiled bitterly. "Do you have any idea, how many times I've heard that. You might not remember but you did some really bad things. Why is this any different?" she said

He pulled his knees a little closer and folded his arms on top of them, then rested his chin on his arms. What could he really say to that? She was still mad and he couldn't really blame her. "I don't want you to go again" He came out with, probably because it was all he could really think of. His voice sounded all shaky.
That didn't answer her question though. "Okay... I'll leave you alone for a wile" He said quietly, partly to her and partly to himself. But he still didn't move, he was OK sitting out here. It kind of felt like this was as close as he was aloud to be at the moment, he didn't want to go any further away because he would feel lonely again.

He didn't want her to go? Well he was going to get his wish he was ultimely the person who would decide if she was going to leave or not. She didn't think right now would be a good time to mention that. Since he already seemed depressed enough.
She stood up enough to open the door a little, She wanted to be understanding but it was really difficult, she tried to dig through her mind to find moments where she didn't hate him but it was difficult since all of the bad things he did to her and Hansel kept coming up.
"How can you not be the...c-word, you hurt people than don't remember. It's weird" Yes she was being a major bitch at the moment.

He didn't look up, he still felt guilty for saying he would kill her. He felt guilty for not knowing weather or not he meant it too, but she didn't know that. So the witch just stayed there with his back against her wall and his knees pulled up to his chest. He was already starting to forget the fight downstairs, what ti was over and exactly what was said. All he really did remember was saying he would kill her. He hadn't used those exact words but close enough.
"I don't understand" He told her quietly. The fact that she was being a bitch didn't even register, just what she said. The word 'weird' brought a little smile to his face for some reason, only for a moment or so, then it was gone again. He liked that, it was better then crazy at least.

She was going to go out in the hallway but stopped herself. Even though it was difficult to talk when she couldn't who she was talking to. How could she really explain it further but she tryed again.
"Right now your sorry but in like in an hour you will totally forget about the entire fight then it will be like it never happened" She didn't know if she was being unfair but whatever.
"Now do you see why I call you crazy..." As soon as she said it she clapped her hand over her mouth, god dammit what was wrong with her. Quickly she pushed the door shut. Yeah she was really stupid by this point.

He was silent for a wile. So this was reality then, the times when he felt at his worst were all how it really was.... the times he was happy, that was just him being totally insane. He shook his head a little and found himself looking at the back of his hands. The cuts from earlier were still there, they were healing over but still. Biting his lip he put his left hand over his right hand, his nails fit the marks perfectly. He really did do that to himself.
She was right.
He would be OK, if she was right about that then she was also right that he would soon forget all of this too. She wouldn't though, he was dangerous and she was the one who had to deal with it wile he remained totally unaware. When it came down to it, he was broken, way past fixing.
He stood up and pushed the door open then stepped back away from it, looking down at the floor rather then up at Gretal "You have to go now..."
((tis fine, mine are too))

"Your letting me go?" She asked. This was crazy, after everything he was actually letting her go. Gretal wasn't really sure of she was really happy about this or freaked out.
Dropping down on her knees, she tried to look him in the face, "Umm not that I'm really grateful for this, but why are you letting me go?"

Why wasn't she going yet? He really didn't want to cry infront of her, as in really really really didn't want to. But if she wasn't gone soon that was most probably what was going to happen. "Because i don't want to hurt you anymore... even if it means...." He couldn't talk anymore. He still couldn't look at her, this was hard enough for him as it was. The idea that he might never see her again made it even worse.
He turned and headed down the landing. Better get this over with now, wile he still felt like he actually could. Downstairs again he unlocked the front door, taking off the spell that held it tight shut, then stepped right away from the door. He wasn't even sure if she had followed him down.

She could feel tears running down her face again. She was so confused by his change of heart. Had what she said really got to him? She was complelty shocked that he seemed to feel really bad about everything. But in the end she could help but feel bad herself.
She followed him down the stairs, it felt like it was taking forever. Gretal was afraid that he would suddenly just change his mind and continue to lock her in the house again.
When he unlocked the door and opened it, it almost seemed to good to be sure. "Thank you" she said stepping out the door.

And that was that. She was gone. The witch just stared at the floor, a blank expression on his face. He was all alone... alone with the knowledge that that would never change. He would soon forget, still it was depressing to know that he was the way he was and was never going to be any different. Knowing that he would forget had been a bit of a comfort at first but now it was starting to seem more frightening.
"Bye Kitten" Was to late now, but he hadn't been able to say it wile she was still here. And with that, the curtains all closed, the door shut itself and locked again. He sat down on the floor, and just thought about nothing. He didn't know what to do now, to be honest the only thing the witch wanted to do was just disappear. And that was when the tears started to run down his face.
