Cas shook himself again, gracefully getting to his feet...all four of them. He jerked his tail westwards, towards a huge, heart-festooned gate. Well, if I remember correctly, we go out that gate, north for a bit...and then just wander until we find it. It's hard to remember where things are around here...I tried using the old bread crumb trick, but something ate them... He gave her and odd look out fo the corner of his eye. You don't like how you look? Oh, pish-posh...I'm sure you look lovely. I mean, how could you not?

She would rather get the subject onto something other then her appearance. Once she would have loved to talk about her looks, she wouldn't mind talking about how she used to look. But since Elphaba the wicked witch turned her green for making fun of her own green skin, Dinah had hated the way she looked. Especially the really green parts like her ears, tail, paws and hair. "Its nice of you to say that" She purred, still quite liking the complement despite how she felt. She couldn't help but wonder if he could tell her black fur had that 'disgusting' green shine to it.
She started to walk at his side, the feeling that she needed to leave as soon as possible was leaving now. Infact for a moment she actually thought she might be feeling quite happy. That was ridiculous, she was in a freaky place full of mad people.... but there was another halfcat... and he was nice...

Soon the well-kempt gardens of the Queen's palace disappeared, to be replaced with a world of bushes in trees in such startling colors as hot pink and lemon yellow. Darling, there is nothing to be said about telling the truth...and you seem to be far more intellectual than most of the lady cats I meet around here...all they want to do is go home, and don't have time to listen to a fat old tomcat like myself...but I digress. The fishing holw should be coming up soon...or, at least, I hope they will.

The strange appearance of this place had frightened her before, now she felt as though she were seeing it with different eyes. Yes it still scared her just how different this place was to her home but at the same time it fascinated her. Her gaze shifted back to him, again a bright smile crossed her face "Now who's talking pish-posh. You don't look fat or old to me" Well he didn't. At the mention of the fishing spot coming up she turned ahead again, licking her top lip just a little. She had only just realized how hungry she actually was. She hadn't eaten since yesterday morning. Chasing that white rabbit she had actually been hunting but falling down into this place had made her forget about eating for a wile.

Cas gave a small chuckle, his paws silent as they tread across fallen leaves the color of a summer sunset. He, of course, payed no mind to the change of scenery--when you'd lived here as long as he had, you kind of got used to it. Hah! Pretty Paws, I am old...so old, I don't even know how old I am. I know I don't look it, but I think I'm on the dark side of my 200's...can't be sure, really. Don't even remember my kittenhood that much... and I drink too much milk to be really called skinny...ah! Here we are! They had arrived at a small pond with ice-blue water. A small dock was stationed on the west side of it, dry and expectant. There were no trace of fishing poles--of course not, for Cas was the only one who knew of this place, and he prefered to fish with his hands...and his claws.

Dinah listened to him, her eyes widening slightly when he said that he could be over 200. That was a long time. Now she did look younger then she was, she had not aged at all since she was 16, but still she was no where near that old. And no he most definitely did not look it.
Dinah made her way tot he dock, looking down into the Crystal blue water below. Her reflection stared back up at her until the surface was broken by a fishes tail not far off and her reflection became distorted by the ripples it caused. He looked back up to Cas "Its pretty" she purred, almost dreamily. Water where she was from was not this clear, it was most definitely not blue in color. Infact it reminded her more of a child's painting then it did of any river or pond she had seen before.
"I'm not the best at fishing though... we could be here a wile" She giggled, couching down close to the edge and reaching down, the very end of her paw dipping into the water slightly ready for a fish to swim close enough for her to hook out with her claws.

Cas nodded, gracefully settling down with all of his legs put one underneath him. He held one ebony paw out, his claws just barely brushing the azure surface of the pond. His amber eyes were chalant, though there was still a humongous smile on his face. Oh, that's fine, Dinah-dear...I'm the only one who knows about this place, so we have plenty of time to do whatever we please here. And I'm not too good myself...I prefer hunting to fishing, really. It's easier for me.

"I'm a little better at hunting but it feels like a chore most of the time, i quite enjoy fishing though" Though she actually preferred to just be fed, that being the main reason for her staying in cat form and allowing humans to keep her as a pet, she enjoyed the easy life. Besides, living in the wild there was no one to tickle her behind the ears and under the chin.
Well seen as they had all the time they needed (and if she were to catch anything, she knew she would need a fair bit of it) she may as well spend that time chatting, getting to know the other cat. "So, have you always lived here?" He seemed used to it so he must have been here some time. Plus he had that mad look about him, making him fit in with the rest of the mad looking place.

Cas' smile enlargening another few inches. I guess I have...as I said, I can barely remember my kittenhood. But, since my earliest memories are of this place, I imagine I was born here. There's no telling how long I've been here, just as there's no telling how old I am. This place...this place never ages. It's easy to understand why people go mad here. The Cheshire Cat flipped onto his back, his paw still in the water. And where did you come from, Dinah-dear? I mean, before you fell through that blasted hole? Were you wild, like me, or a house cat? There was a sort of light in his amber eyes--you could tell that he was very much curious about his new companion.

Dinah listened to the male cat with interest, she had never met anyone quite like him or been to a place quite like this, so she payed full attention as he spoke. Well she didn't much like the idea of going mad, she would have to make sure not to say too long. Even if this cat was very interesting, she would still like to leave here as sane as she was when she arrived thank you very much.
"I come from Gillikin, Oz" She told him quite proudly, despite the fact that he most likely would not know what that was. "But I've been living with different humans for quite some time now" She gt the idea that most half-animals would think her strange or maybe even a little pathetic for allowing humans to take care of her and think her a common house cat. She didn't care though, she was getting looked after, fussed over and fed wile they hunted and roughed it outside. Well rather them then her, thats all she could say. "So are you a shifter? I'm a ware-cat... well half, I'm half Witch... apparently, but I'm about as good at magic as i am at catching fish" She realized that she was babbling and told herself silently to shut up.

The Cheshire Cat gave his dream-like chuckle, pedaling his back legs in the air. Mmm...I've never been to Oz, but I imagine it must be a wonderful place to produce such a phenomonal thing as you... He stopped pedaling, looking from Dinah to his motionless feet then back to Dinah again. I am many things, Dinah-dear...I might be a 'shifter' as you call it, and I may be something more. I myself just wander around here, trying to keep my head attached to my shoulders. It's not easy task believe me...oh! I forgot! I said I'd change once we got here, didn't I? Guess I got carried away...would you like to see it?

She was very much enjoying the complements he was giving her. Back int he rose garden he had mentioned other lady cats, she wondered if he was so nice to all cats. "Thankyou, it is nice... no where near as interesting as this place though" And noone there was even nearly as interesting as him. But she didn't say that part, truth be told she was just a little bit shy all of a sudden.
Even if he was totally mad, why would he be grinning like that if everything was trying to cut off his head? She just shrugged a little to herself, she didn't really know all that much about madness so she wouldn't know. "Okay" She purred, nodding her head a little. But would that mean he would want her to turn too? She already knew he would be attractive as a person, if that was the way he looked as a cat.

Cas grinned that impossibly large smile of his again, the one that seemed to run off the edges his face by an inch or so, and rose to all four feet. He cleared his kitty throat...and, with a sound rather like steam being let out of a kettle far away, he changed into a very strange looking (but still rather comely) young man. He had straight white-blonde hair that contrasted greatly to the midnight black fur of before and fell a few inches past his slender shoulders in some place. His large eyes were a light gold color, their dark pupils ever so slightly slitted. The Cheshire Cat wore clothes that belonged in the 19th century, not nowadays--a black silk, tailor-made waistcoat and trousers, a ruffled white shirt, hand-made Armani loafers, and a silver-edged black ribbon around his white neck. He wore a grin identical to the cat he had been, and had his arms out in a 'ta-da' gesture. "He-he..." He giggled, not able to think of anything else to say.

Dinah watched Cas shift forms, her Forest green eyes widening slightly at the result. Oh he was more then attractive, he was beautiful. Oh she wished so much that she still looked the way she used to, then showing him her other form would be so much easier. Still she may as well change now, he had so she should to. With that thought in mind Dinah allowed herself to shift. Her black fur changed to white skin as her body changed from one of a cat to one of a human. A kind of perlish white that in some places seemed slightly green. Her hair was dark green in color and fell in soft waves to her lower back, matching her bright emerald eyes. Her attire had a kind of gypsy look to it, a simple black price of material tied around her chest with a matching skirt, both with small gold coins attached to the bottom. Around her head she wore a black bandanna and on her wrists and ankles she had gold chains with small bells attached to them. Though she was in a more human form, she still had the ears, paws and tail of a cat, though all of these features were now green, a few shades lighter then her hair.
"You look amazing" She said blushing slightly, unable to think of much else to say. She stood up slowly and brushed her hair out of her face with one hand.

"Chee!" Cas squealed, his golden eyes twinkling. "I look amazing? Look who's talking, Pretty Paws!" He slapped his forehead, still grinning. "I'd thought you would be...you know, a blonde stick person like the one or two other were-cat's I've met...wowza! That green's really unique...pretty, too..." Never one to hesitate, The Cheshire Cat reached forward and felt Dinah's emerald hair between his thumb and forefinger. "And so soft! I can never get my hair to stay that way...It must be because I live in trees..."
