The Hatter had found this place quite by accident, but he was already glad that he did. There was a tree by the lagoon that had grown at a slant, its thick trunk grew out of a shallow slope at the lagoons edge and a fair few of its branches hung right over the dark waters. After finding the tree, the kookie goth had made him way up onto one of these branches, thinking that it would make a good place to sit as he could drop things down into the water and see if they floated or not.
He hadn't been there long before a few of the lagoons mermaids had taken an interest in him. At first they tried flirting, waving and giggling in an attempt to get him to come down from the tree. He didn't know that mermaids liked to drown people, but he did know that he didn't want to get wet, so at first he just ignored the silly fish-girls. After a while the started to flick water at him to get his attention, then when t hey got him to look, the girls made flirtatious sexual gestures at him. The Hatter just grinned at them and made a gesture back at them, one that involved his middle finger and did not mean anything flirtatious or friendly.
At that point the mermaids started to get a little pissed off, so they turned to a different tactic. Jumping up and trying to hit the branch with there tails. Now that was just funny because the branch was way to high for them, even there highest jumps where at least 2 feet from touching the tree. He still had no idea what they where trying to get him to come down for but it was so funny to watch them try. Especially as they seemed to be getting really annoyed now.

suddenly one of the mermaids screeched with pain sending the other mermaids swimming, the mermaid that was screeching had a harpoon in the back of her head.
Tiger lily sat on a rock near the water. A mermaid doll in one hand and a mini harpoon in the other. She had a wild grin on her face and she was clicking her heels together.
She started to sing to her self: "I want to hold you to the sun I want to be your faithful one I want to show you all the beauty you don't even know you hold I'm hurting you for your own good I'd die for you, you know I would I'd give up all my wealth to buy you back the toy you never sold....." her voice strong and nice.

The mermaids scream got the Hatters attention far better then any of there girlish flirting had. He didn't much understand things like that anyway, flirting and sex, but pain was something he did understand. He watched her with great interest as she squealed and put her arms behind her head, then screamed more. It wasn't until she fell forward, face down int he water, that the Hatter saw what it was that had made her scream like that. She had a harpoon sticking out of the back of her head. The sight of all that blood sent the kookie goth into a fit of giggles straight away. If he hadn't been so comfy up in the tree and so against the idea of getting wet, he might have jumped in just to see if he could pull the harpoon back out again.
Hearing a female singing, the dark haired boy looked up, still sniggering away to himself but trying to keep quiet as best he could. There was a girl over on the bank singing songs. A pretty girl with curly red hair. How long had she been there? He was sure she hadn't been on that rock when he first found this lagoon about half an hour back.

Tiger lilly smiled at her doll. she was till singing but now voice was quiter. She wasn't stupid she knew the Hatter was there, she just didn really want to frighten him away. So she washed the mermaid doll in the now red water and swirled it around then she lifted it out her hand dripping from the water and the soaked doll. Then she got a little paint set out drawing a top hat on her doll, and hair under the hat soon after the doll began to look more and more like the Hatter. Then she dropped it on the floor which had the same effect on the Hatter himself.

The Hatter watched the girl play with her doll, giving it a bath and drawing all over it. At first he showed a great deal of interest. She looked pretty, all gothic like him with fiery colourd hair. And she had a dolly. But after a while the kookie goth started to loose interest, probably because he had a really short attention span and had trouble concentrating on the same thing for more then a few minuets. His eyes eye turned on the water again, watching the fish girls body bobbing in the lagoon. It made him giggle quietly. His giggling would have soon turned into hysterical laughing if it hadn't been cut short by a really weird feeling. He was fine one minuet, then the next for no reason at all he jumped and clung to the branch with both hands. It felt a lot like when you fall asleep, then have a dream in which you fall over and it makes you wake up.
Confused he looked around, he hadn't fallen at all, but it had felt like he had. A little shaken he looked down at the water again. Maybe being up here wasn't so fun after all...

Tiger giggled at the Hatter, she then put away the paint set and the doll and walked up to the tree, "having fun up there?" she asked with sarcasim in her voice. "maybe you should come down and talk to the woman that saved you from drowning" she continued.

The Hatter looked down at her, tilting his head slightly as she spoke. "No one saved me from drowning love, to drown you have to be under water" Well at least that was what he had thought, maybe this girl was confused, she thought people drowned in trees.

"you look dumber then you are sweetheart" she grinned showing pearly white teeth. She looked down at the water. "it is pretty deep though, and youre all small if those mermaids would of got ya...well" she rolled her eyes back and made a throat cutting sign.
"so aint ya gonna come and talk to me?" she asked doing her best to look cute.

"You mean like that one?" He asked, smirking as he pointed to the dead mermaid. They didn't seem at all dangerous to him, silly fish ladies. But all the same, chatting to goth girl seemed like more fun then sitting up a tree. So with that he crawled along the branch until he was over the bank, then dropped down. "Hi hi!" He chirped, straightening himself out and holding out his hand to the redhead. "Who be you?"

Tiger shook his hand and replied " My names Tiger-Lilly" she grinned "and whats yours honey?" she sat down and dipped her doll back into the water.

He looked at her, tilting his head to one side then the other, leaning a little closer for a moment before telling her "You don't look like a tiger. I like that name though" He told her, nodding his head and making his black hair flick around his pale face. "I'm the Hatter" Ever heard anyone say 'Mad as a Hatter?' Well here he is; the Mad Hatter.
