The Dark Era :: A Naruto RPG
[This story takes place seven years after Shippuuden]
The Era of peace the Shinobi world has enjoyed for so long has become a distant memory, only remembered by those old enough at the time. Three of the five great shinobi countries have fallen at the hands of the Akatsuki who were forced to initiate their plans early due to the meddling of the remaining two Sannin. In the resulting battles Tsunade and Jiraiya fell, but not before they had finished training their replacements to carry out their final wishes. With their training complete, Naruto and Sakura gathered up the rookie nine, who are now all in their mid twenties, and fled to the Hidden Mist Village, the only people left to be considered as allies for the time being. On their way to the Mist they met up with an old friend, Uchiha Sasuke. He had heard of the events that took place and had come to help them as a way to make amends yet at the same time get Itachi.
In the captured countries the Akatsuki has installed three of it's own members as the kage, training the new recruits in their evil ways, brainwashing the people to be their servants. Mean while the three Sannin went to work uniting the remaining two great countries as well as bringing the lesser countries to their cause. Now they must unite in one common goal or risk the Akatsuki beating them to it, to track down and capture the remaining three Bijuu, the nine tails remaining with Naruto. If the Rookie nine can not get to them in time, the Shinobi world could fall forever. Unknown to both sides however there is another organization growing, one that cloaks the where abouts of the remaining Bijuu. What could their purpose be? Who are they? Join the story and reveal the mystery.
