Why was she being like this? It wasn't that he didn't want Gretal to be nice, it was just that he really liked her a whole lot, and now he was going away. Leaving at the inn was going to sad, like it had been when he let her out of the house. "Ha, stay in town? I don't really think..." He stopped, sighing again. She should know by now how he felt about this town, and he was sure it worked both ways. they didn't want him here either. "Anyway... you're staying at the inn" Well she might not care much at the moment but if she wasn't drunk but he was sure if she hadn't been thens he wouldn't like the idea of him being in the same building as her.
He looked over at her when she grabbed onto him with the other arm. "Okay... are you OK?" he asked. He turned the corner with her, thinking they could sit down against the wall once they were off the main road. Strangely enough, the sight of the Cheshire cat didn't really make the Witch jump as much as his sudden appearance had last time they met. "Oh.... hello" Well he liked the cat and all, but right now Gretal was just a little more important. He had to find somewhere for her to sit down.

She shook her head "The town people are stupid, why don't you just stay." Sure she had somewhat remembered the bad things that Zeque had done but she hadn't forgot about him letting her out and for that she was still grateful. And since he didn't seem like he was going to be going back to his house, what did she have to worry about.
"I need to sit down now" she said letting go of his arm and sitting down. She closed her eyes and tried to clear her mind. She really did feel like she was going to pass out and that was really scary at the moment. She was so caught up in her own problems that she barely heard Zeque say hello to someone. Laying down on the ground, so that she was on her back. "I don't want to drink anymore." This was definelty going to be the last time for really long time. She felt so stupid that she had basically passed out on the ground, in her sober mind it might have come to a bit of an alarm that she was depending on Zeque but at the moment she wasn't really thinking of anything.

Cas smiled at Zeque but said nothing. Instead, h let go of his humongous hammer, letting it fall softly to the ground, then dropped to all fours. He soon shrank into his black-cat form, light skin being replaced by dark fur and his soft golden eyes flaring amber. He walked casually over to Gretal, then wormed his way under her blonde head to serve as a soft, fuzzy pillow.
Hey, Little Sister...how's young Hansel? He asked blandly, blinking coolly over at the girl.

His attention was right back on Gretal again as she sat down on the sidewalk. He knelt down beside her as she lay down, pretty much just passing out right there. "She's been drinking, I'm taking her to the inn" He told Cas. Well seen as Cas was asking her questions that she probably wouldn't be able to answer right this second, he thought he may as well fill the cat in on what was going on.
He wasn't really sure if he should move her just yet. Walking with her was one thing but if he picked her up she might get freaked out. But the alternative was to just let her stay there until she got up herself. So he told her what he was doing first; "Gretal, I'm going to carry you, okay?" And without even waiting to see if she answered, the witch gently put one arm under the top of her back and the other under the backs of her knees, picking her up off the ground. She wasn't at all heavy, he could carry her easily. Before starting to walk off in the direction of the inn, he glanced down at Cas to see if the cat was coming along too.

Cas stayed there on the ground for a few moments, thinking about whatever it is insane half-cats think about. And then he vigorously shook his little black head and got smoothly to his feet. Making sure to pick up his huge, shiny black handle by it's handle, The Cheshire trotted after his two 'friends', (Friends being the term he used to all those he didn't murder on the spot), his weapon hanging from his mouth like a 30 pound dead mouse. Despite the blockage, his voice was still clear as day when he spoke.
Drunk? Oh, my...and I thought she was a nice girl. Maybe it was just stress...He muttered, shaking his head and inadvertedly causing the hammer to swish dangerously close to Zeque's legs.

Gretal had actually been in town trying to somewhat be social with people, since before she had basically avoided people. Somewho she had got talked into going to some dirty bar with a few people that she had met. They had got even drunker than she had, so she had left so that she didn't do something stupid, but in the end going outside, running into Zeque, and then passing out on the sidewalk didn't turn out to be such a great plan either.
When she heard what she was guessing was Zeque say he was going to carry her, she didn't say anything.

When the cat picked up its hammer, Zeque sidestepped quickly. "Watch it, i don't wanna drop her" Why was the little cat carrying around a big hammer anyway. He had been really nervous before with Gretal holding on to his arm, but now he was carrying here it had gone away. Probably because she had passed out now. Well, he thought she had anyway, she wasn't talking or trying to get down or anything.
"I'm pretty sure the inn's down here" He said, more to himself then either Gretal or Cas. Well he didn't spend a lot of time down here, he wasn't totally sure. But he thought he had passed it a few times, it couldn't be far off. He walked around another corner, passing another group of noisy guys who had obviously had a few to many drinks too. They were to busy shouting crap together to pay any attention to the witch, the cat and the blonde girl, so it was OK.

At the sight of yet more drunken men, Cas' belly growled rather loudly. He ignored it for the moment--once he'd seen Miss Gretal safely to her room he'd come back and steal a lamb bone or something.
Sorry... Cas said to Zeque, and for once actually meant it. I'm rather green with this still...I'll try to be more careful. The Cheshire Cat walked along, his hammer still hanging from his mouth. He'd stolen the weapon from the dead body of one of the Queen of Heart's guard and, since he'd heard the King himself once used, he took it...but not before giving said King a good slash across the shoulder blades. It suited him pretty well...simple, but powerful. He just had yet to train his muscles to handle it properly.

"Its ok... its nice, whats it for?" He asked. Well it did look a little bit big for DIY, but Zeque still hadn't actually seen the cat kill anyone, so how was he to know.
The inn was on the next street, he could see the sign hanging out over the sidewalk as soon as he turned the corner. Picking up pace a little the witch headed across the street towards the inn doors. Inside was pretty nice, mostly reds and golds. He walked up tot he wooden reception desk and told the lady behind it: "She needs a room" The receptionist didn't look very old, she also looked like she had places she would rather be right now. She glanced down at Gretal, then Cas, then back up to Zeque. "Just her?" She asked, looking in the book on the desk, most likely checking for free rooms. "Room 12, 2nd floor" She told him, handing him a key, then she looked down at Cas and added "But she can't take her cat, no animals aloud upstairs" "He's not hers and hes not a normal cat" The Witch told her, in a kind of snappy way. Well he didn't care right now what was aloud where, he just wanted to take Gretal to her room so she would be safe. He turned on his heel and walked off tot he steps.
Getting her door open wasn't the easiest thing in the world whilst holding her with both arms, but he managed it after a few minuets. The door opened into a one bedroom room with two other doors. One he guessed would be a kitchen and the other a bathroom. He walked past the sofa and put her down gently on the bed. "There you go..."

When she was layed down on the bed she was jarred awake a little. She opened her eyes and saw that she was no longer out on the street but in a room. She pushed herself into a sitting position, really confused. Gretal remembered wanting to go to the Inn but she had forgotten how she had got there.
At the moment she wasn't really all that worried about how she got there, she would worry about it in the morning. Then she saw Zeque and then little bits and pieces of what had happened started to come back to her.
She was going to say something but she had something more urgent to attend to. Getting off the bed quickly, she took off for the bathroom. As soon as she was in the bathroom, she went right for the toilet.
As soon as she finished she flushed the toilet and went to the sink to get a drink of water. Opening the bathroom door she made her way back to the bed to go to sleep. In that few minutes she had complelty forgotten that she wasn't alone, so she was a little surprised when she walked out and saw them both there. Ignoring them both for the moment she layed down on the bed again. She was going to fall asleep but then a weird question came to mind "Why did you let me out?" she murmered.

He stepped away from the bed as Gretal sat up, watching her run off to the bathroom, most likely to be sick. That was probably a good thing anyway, at least ti would get a bit of the alcohol out of her system. So wile she was gone, Zeque walked away from the bed and looked around, his eyes landing on the door.
'Well...go on then'
He stayed still. He knew he had to go, walking her to an inn didn't make up for anything. It didn't mean she wanted him here and it definitely didn't mean she liked him. Besides, the longer he stayed around her, the harder it would be to leave her. 'Just go! Go on! Before she has to tell you to.' He took a step towards the door, then paused when Gretal reappeared from the bathroom and went back over to the bed. Well... what could another few minuets hurt, just to make sure she was ok...
"I told you, I didn't-... I don't want to hurt you anymore" He told her quietly. Then he remembered something. Seen as he didn't think he was going to see her again, and didn't want to hurt her or upset her anymore. "Here... this is your's. I don't really understand them but i think it works fine." He pulled her cell phone out of his jacket pocket and put it down on her bedside table.

Cas didn't bother to answer Zeque's question, being sane enough to know the Witch would most likely freak out once the Cat said that he used the hammer to crack people's heads open like eggs and slurp up their contents. Well...maybe not exactly that, for Cas wasn't all that fond of brains (too squishy and soft...yuck) but something akin to it.
When the receptionist made the comment about there being no pets allowed, Cas decided to kill her...or, at least remove her of one of her fingers. He waved his long black tail at Zeque, telling him to go on, and once the Witch was out of the room he proceded to hop up onto the table.
The receptionist was looking down at a notepad or book or something like that, and therfore didn't notice Cas until one of his claws, enlargened to tiger-size, chopped off her left index finger. Red blood squirted out of the stump that had once been her finger, and she screamed shrilly. But, of course, by the time the yell even left her mouth Cas the Cat was trotting at an alarmingly fast speed towards room number 12, the woman's finger dangling from his mouth, beside his giant hammer.

She nodded "Oh yeah, now I remember." Even though she had just barfed up most of the alcohol she had ingested, she was still feeling a little weird.
When she saw her cell phone, she excitedly grabbed "My cell phone, you found it, I mean your the one who lost it but you found it!" she said. Wow, she was going to feel really stupid in the morning, well if she remembered any of it.
Without thinking she threw her arms around Zeque's neck in a drunken hug. "Thank you! Now I don't have to buy another phone."

He had expected her to ask why he had it, or get a bit weirded out by the fact that he had it at all. Because it being in his pocket meant that he either had not thrown it away at all and had lied to her, or that he had gone back to the river to get it out. It was the second one, and the phone hadn't even worked when, after about 2 hours of looking for it, he got it out of the water. He had been able to get it working but he had not been able to work it out.
He was really shocked when Gretal hugged him like that. And that wasn't even just leaning on him for support like before, this was a hug. "Ah...Its, um okay" He still wasn't even sure if he was supposed to hug her back or not. As much as he really wanted to, he didn't dare. She could freak out and scream, that would kind of spoil the moment. And besides, he was supposed to have left once he got her to the inn, thats what he had promised when he offered to walk her here. One part of his mind was telling him 'Let go and get out!' wile the other part of his mind wanted to just stay there, wanting her to 'Aw... never let go... please...'

Cas began to hum to himself to pass the time while he walked to room number 12, a song he'd listened to on a shiny silver thing he'd stolen from a teenage girl just before he ate the poor dear's liver. It had since ceased to work (Cas had gotten blood and some tea in the circuits) but he still remembered the song's name--Harder To Breathe. By Maroon-something-or-other. Cas wasn't too good at remembering things.
It did not take him long to get there--5 minutes, at most--and he had to leap onto the doorknob and twist it hard with his paws to get it open. But open it did, presenting the cat with a very strange scene. Gretal was hugging the very person who had kidnapped her. Cas blinked, and would have raised an eyebrow if he'd had any at the moment.
"What in the name of Lucifer...?" He asked, letting his hammer drop but beginning to chew on the receptionist's rather yummy finger. It tasted a tiny bit like chocolate...hand cream, Cas reasoned. A lot of women used that.
