Gretal could feel herself becoming very stressed out at the moment. Everything was slowly going from bad to worse. The banging on the door was starting to scare her and the fact that at any moment Cas was probably going to mutilate whoever was out there was even scarier. And now on top of everything Zeque had completly zoned out. She felt almost stupid for actually depending on him. She really should have known better.
"Zeque what is wrong with you? Didn't you just say that you were trying to change. Out of all the times to do whatever you're doing this is the worst time ever!" She said shrilly. The sound of the pounding stopping made her momentarily take her focus off Zeque and to the door. Cas had already opened it and by the looks of it was the hotel manager. She didn't know if she was relieved or a little nervous that it was him and not the police.

Cas's hand swept out, catching the manner across the face with his suddenly sharp-as-knives fingernails. Three slashes, all of equal length and deepness, bled red blood down the manager man's left cheek. The human gasped and stumbled backwards, not having enough time to think of what to say. While Cas stood there, huffing, puffing, and obviously just dying to kill him, he took his hand from his face and looked at his bloodied palm.
"Holy cr--"
The Cheshire Cat didn't bother to let him finish; he plunged a white hand into the man's grey-streaked hair and took a good hold. Before he turned down the corner, dragging the kicking and yelping manager behind him, he glashed Gretal a perfectly feral grin. His long, sharp teeth glittered like polished pearl.

Zeque half listened as Gretal gabbled on about something or other. Had he wanted to change? Yeah he remembered that... kind of. He shook his head a little. "But... its scary Gretal" He told her, looking around a bit before turning his eyes back on her. She didn't understand, he really didn't want to be here with all the noise and the shouting. Why did she want him to come back to it? Giving it a few more seconds, the witch looked over his shoulder just in time to see Cas slash some guys face open with his nails... or claws. Instantly he looked away again, turning back towards Gretal and closing his eyes. Yeah why did he go back to paying attention again?! "I'm sorry" He just came out with that kind of randomly. It just seemed like his fault, he brought her here after all.

Not knowing what else to say she blurted out the first thing she could think of, "You're scary." She hated how it sounded childish, but he was scary to her.
Seeing Cas slash the guys face, she basically threw herself quickly down on the bed, burying her face in the mattress, so that she didn't need to see or hear anymore of it. Covering her head with her arms, she tried really hard to ignore the yells coming from the man, she was feeling really guilty, even though there was nothing that she could have done for him.
She barely heard Zeque say he was sorry, "It's ok" She replied her head still down on the bed.

He went to snap back at her but he didn't have anything to say back to that. As much as he probably did deserve that, it stung. "I..." He closed his eyes and thought for a few seconds, then headed for the window and yanked it open. "I'll leave you with the cat then" He said, actually sounding jealous then. He really did not mean to refer to Cas as 'the cat', he knew Cas preferred feline, but he just didn't like it. Cas was ripping someone up right now and he still got to be the one who stayed with Gretal. With those words he hopped up onto the window sil then turned and dropped down.
It was a lot quieter outside in the back ally that ran along the side of the hotel. He was fine dropping 2 floors, landing in a crouched position On t he ally floor. There he leaned against the fence for a few moments, thinking about what to do next. He had really screwed it up just now. He just wanted to take her somewhere safe, he never meant to scare her... again.

Hearing his words her head snapped up "What?" She said quickly. Gretal looked over just in time to see him jump out the window. "Oh my god!" She yelled jumping to her feet, she didn't know if someone could jump out a window unscathed. Leaning out the opened window, she sighed when she saw him. Good, that was one less dead person.
Gretal sat down on the edge of the bed, not really sure what she was going to do. There was no way, she was going to be able to sleep in that room after all that, and going out into the hallway to leave didn't sound so pleasant either.
After a few more minutes of thinking she got to her feet and carefully opened the door, making sure to not look in the direction of where Cas was now possibly ripping the manager to shreds. Quickly running, she went down the stairs, but was stopped when she saw all the blood in the lobby. Turning her head, she pushed open the door that led outside. She momentarily leaned against the wall and tried to calm down a little, blood really grossed her out and she was feeling like she was going to vomit again.
Now she was starting to feel guilty about saying he was scary, sure she had a pretty good reason to say that, but for the most part he was being nice and semi-normal that night. She had been really unfair to him. "Zeque, I'm sorry" She said loudly enough to if he was around he would hear her,

Leaning against the fence the witch let himself slide down into a sitting position. Where to go? Where to go? He didn't know anywhere. Trying to think on the bright side he thought at least he would be going away from the town people. That was always a good thing. He still couldn't believe that someone had been inside his house. How did they get in? All they seemed to have done was go in the kitchen and eat a few things. It couldn't have been kids though, kids wouldn't be able to get inside. It couldn't be a human but he would have thought other witches would know better then to just let them selfs into houses. He still blamed the town people, they had gotten in somehow.
He quickly tried to think about something else. He should have said bye to Cas. He liked Cas but at the time that he jumped out of the window he hadn't really been thinking about him. Just Gretal and what she said. He hoped that he would cross paths with the Wonderland shifter again one day.
With that thought in mind he got to his feet, deciding to be off on his way to who knows where. Then he heard Gretal's voice from just around the corner at the hotel doors. Shaking his head a little he smiled to himself. She wasn't going to make leaving her easy for him was she. After waiting about a minuet or so he stuck his head around the side of the building and grinned at her. "Little lady, you should be sleeping" he told her, stepping around the corner and leaning on the wall not far from where she was standing. He didn't really blame her for not wanting to stay up there after all, but she really should know better by now then to follow him.

Taking deep breaths she was trying her hardest to not puke again, but the blood was still grossing her out. Slowly she tried to forget about what was going on inside and tried to think about what was going on outside. Yes the manager had seemed kind of like a jerk but he didn't deserve to be killed by any means.
Closing her eyes she started to think of pleasant images, to stop herself from seeing Cas slash the guys face over and over in her head.
When Zeque walked into view she didn't even see him and couldn't tell he was there until he spoken. She opened her eyes and looked over at him "You actually think I can sleep in there, I'm just going to go home...I think" She said. Her house wasn't really all that far and it would be way better to sleep in her own bed, than sleep somewhere in town.

The manager had screamed quite wonderfully. The best part, Cas mused as he scooped a variety of delectables from the man's ripped-open chest, was when the cat-man had pulled out his small intestine and bound his hands and feet with it. Not that he'd ever met anyone who could run with a sliced abdomen, but...
Anyways, he was quite full now (wouldn't you be, with a heart, two eyeballs, a liver, and several handfuls of blood god-knows-what?) and that meant he wouldn't have to eat anybody else today. The Cheshire Cat, most pleasant with the none-too-common feel of a full belly, decided that he would visit the real world more often. Raw human meat always seemed to taste better here, some how.
He left the dead manager in the hallway for some unfortunate maid to find a couple of hours later, barely pausing to slid a couple of chopped-off fingers and two hearty slices of flesh for the road before slinking back to the hotel room.
Cas did indeed look scary...a creature from a nightmare, you might say. There was barely an inch of him that escaped being covered in a film of blood (he'd rolled in it, actually, like a pig might roll in cool mud on a hot day) Not even his long, sharp teeth had escaped the red splatter--when he smiled, you could see those tell-tale red smudges against the otherwise pristine whiteness. Blood dripped from his mouth, claws, and just about everything else on him.
"Hmm...that was d--" He paused when he saw the empty room, then rolled his eyes as he saw the open window. Had the silly mortals committed suicide? Shame...he'd actually liked them a bit. Aww, well, that would leave even more meat for him to eat later, he guessed.
Cas crossed over to the window and stuck his head out. A drop of blood fell from his jawline and splashed onto the pavement. No twisted, broken bodies...they hadn't died. Lovely. Now he'd just have to find them, which, considering the sharpness of the Cat's eyes and nose, would be no problem at all.
Shaking himself slightly to rid himself of a bit of excess blood, Cas lept from the window and landed neatly in a crouch. His now-red nose sniffed at the hair, and then that infamous smile grew even larger. Hoorah! He'd caught a scent!
The cat man slinked off in the direction of the fence, licking blood off of his hand as he walked. Well, he was full...but thirsty! Maybe Zeque could conjour up some milk for him...this blood wasn't cold enough to qualify as a drink, unfortunately. Or maybe he could steal some....that was always fun, right?
"Ho, children! I'm finished! I'm a bit...dirty, however. Judging on the way Miss Gretal winced, I'd take it she's afraid of blood. Cover your eyes, dear!" He called jubilantly.
((Dang...that was long. >.> ))

He listened to her, nodding slightly as she spoke. She was going home? In the dark through those woods alone? Oh great, she had to tell him that didn't she. He would have to get walking in the opposite direction when she set off then. "Up to you... I can't walk you home though, I don't know where you're house is... and I don't trust myself to know either" He would be kicking himself for all of this later. He knew he would. This could possibly be the only time he would ever get even close to a chance at finding out where her and Hansel lived. Even if she wasn't drunk enough to actually tell him or let him walk her there, he could so easily follow her. That was why he would have to walk the other way. Just walk and walk and not look back.
He glanced up when Cas spoke, only looking at the shifter for a second before turning his eyes away. "None of thats you're own is it?" He doubted it very much but he couldn't help but feel a little worried for Cas. After all, he was covered from head to toe in blood. You never know, the manager guy just might have had a gun or knife hidden on him.

Gretal knew that walking home by herself wasn' t the best idea, but she couldn't stand to stay much longer in that town. "Oh ok.....that's a good idea." She didn't really want Zeque to know where she and Hansel lived, even if he was acting normal now she figured it was only a matter of time until he started to act like himself again.
Hearing Cas's voice she looked over involuntary and saw him covered in blood. "Oh god I'm really going to be sick." She said quickly looking away.

Zeque blushed slightly (not that you could tell much with him being so pale) feeling a bit embarrassed that she agreed to him not knowing where she lived was a good idea. It was enough having to admit it himself in the first place, without her rubbing his nose in it. She most likely didn't do it on purpose though, she was only agreeing.
When she announced that she was going to throw up, Zeque looked away from her and back to Cas. He found it a lot easier to look at someone covered in blood then watching someone being sick.

Cas looked down at himself, frowning. "Nah...that pansy of a manager scratched me a couple times, but they didn't bleed and have already healed." He rolled his eyes when Gretal announced how queasy she was, obviously not seeing just why someone could be sickened by the sight of blood. It was such a beautiful red, and if it was of good guality it tasted as sweet as sugar. The Cat obviously just couldn't understand why humans were so touchy about it. "I told you not to look..."

"Yeah but when people tell me not to look it makes me want to look." She said knowing it sounded really stupid, but she felt it was part of being human. When someone would say not to look it automatically made her want to look since she was curious. Quite stupid, but hey she couldn't help it.
Looking away from them both, she dropped down to her knees and situated herself so that she was sitting her back to the both of them. She rested her forehead against the cool side of the building, trying to concentrate on not throwing up again.
Gretal reached into her pocket and dug out her cell phone, punching in the key she quickly scrolled through the people on her list looking for Hansel's number. Finding it she put it to her ear and listened to it ring and ring until finally she gave up and snapped it shut with frustration. Why did he never pick it up when she needed him. She was really hoping he would walk into town and meet her, so they could walk back together, but that wouldn't be happening. No one else that she knew would be very happy to get woke up by her asking if someone could come walk her home, and frankly she would rather walk back alone than have somebody pissed at her and giving her lectures about drinking.

The witch couldn't help but giggle quietly at the word 'pansy.' He wasn't sure why, he just found it funny. He was also glad to hear that Cas was not hurt, even though he had doubted that he would be anyway. "Where's you're hammer?" He asked Cas, glancing at him, then back the way the cat had come.
Hearing that phone's buttons beeping Zeque looked dover at Gretal. Oh good she was either done with being sick or hadn't been sick at all. Now she was holding her phone up to her ear, probably calling for someone to pick her up. That stupid phone, he had spent ages trying to get it to work for him. She made it look so easy.
"Hmm okay then... I'm going to be off that way now" He told the two, pointing randomly to his right, down towards an alleyway across the street. "So toodles, look after yourselves" That was more aimed at Gretal. He knew Cas was capable of looking after himself. With that he turned on his heel and started walking.
