He wasn't really sure what to make of that. Being called strange didn't really sound like much of a good thing, but then again it was a definite step up from being called crazy. And besides, he was acting different to how he usually did around her. Whether he acted better or worse, if it was different then usual she would call it strange, so he supposed that he shouldn't take it as a bad thing. He didn't know how to answer that though, so he just told her "I feel a bit strange." Then after a few moments he smiled and added: "Anyway, so are you. All nice and trusting like. I think I'm going to start acting 'strange' a bit more often"

"Yeah but I'm drunk and I don't feel like myself, so I have an excuse" she said "What's your excuse?"
She didn't say it mean or anything, she was just curious. Maybe it was what she had said before she had left. Obviuosly she had said something because he had just let her go, last time her and Hansel had to crawl out a basement window and even that was a narrow escape.
"Did you do all that after I left" she asked referring to his new look. After she said it she felt dumb, of course he had done it after she had left.

"My excuse?" Zeque leaned back on the wall besides the door and looked up at the space over the bed, thinking. "Well i don't really know exactly what you said before you left... but whatever it was made me realize I'm all broken. I wanna fix myself" Broken was what Zeque called anything that didn't quite work the way it should. In his case it was his mind that was broken. It was just easier then calling himself crazy, seen as he really did hate that word. He then sighed and told her "But truth be told its not that easy. And i think the fact that we are in the middle of town has a lot to do with it too... i can't really do anything with all the town people around"
At first the witch didn't get what she was talking about. Did he do what after she left? But he twigged on pretty quickly and nodded his head. "Yeah, I like it long. Can hide my face in it" He answered, smirking slightly. As much as he did like yellow hair, he did like the change. He wanted to be different, might as well start by looking different, and besides, having dark hair meant he would do a lot more with his eye makeup.

"I was right then" she said not meaning to say it out loud, since he would have no idea what she was talking about. She almost felt proud of herself for doing something right, she had totally taken care of herself and got out of that bad situation all on her own and had also somehow got through to him as well.
Broken? That wasn't the word she would use to describe him but the word that she would have used would just make him really mad. "You have a lot of fixing to do. I don't know what you did to other people but from what you did to me and my brother you have a lot to fix" she said seriously. She was surprised that she could actually get all that out, since her brain felt like it was shutting down from exaustion.
But when he said that he was acting stange because they were in town, that woke her up a little "What were you going to do?" she snapped. She closed her eyes, she was going to aplogize for snapping but decided against it.
"It's way different than before" She was surprised she had actually recognized him earlier.

Cas suddenly sighed, dropping his finger chew toy and prancing over to the top of the bed, where he procedded to bury his little black kitty head into the soft white pillows.
"Argh..." He muttered to himself, his lonlieness having taken a direct hit from all the pleasant conversation being exchanged. "I miss Dinah, goddammit..."

Well, she was starting to sober up at least. Well it was her that asked him the question, so he hadn't really been expecting her to throw all that at him. "Okay! I'm a mess, i get it! I can't exactly make it up to you or take it back Gretal but hay at least I'm trying to sort myself out. Its a start isn't it? .... you asked so i told you, no need to throw it back in my face" He was then even more shocked when she snapped 'what were you going to do?'. What the heck? He was only being honest, he couldn't really say his self control was that good, he had no idea how he might have acted if he had found her alone in the woods. He wasn't in that situation. He almost snapped back something about maybe she would have proffered to have been left back out there in the streets. Then she could ask those men that had been outside the pub what it was that they would have liked to do to her instead. He didn't though. "Nothing... i didn't mean... " He was pretty surprised at how much that hurt. This was exactly why he should have left as soon as he got her here. Looking down at the floor now he told her "I didn't even see you, i walked right by so how could i have been planning to do anything to you?"

"Yes it's an improvement" she answered. Before she wouldn't have been able to have that conversation since he would have blocked out a lot of that conversation.
"I'm sorry" she said softly, she felt so bad after she saw the look on his face. She did sound pretty ungrateful. Being drunk in the street all alone, and especially since she was a girl, that any of those drunken men could have done anything.
"I don't know, I was the person that called you over so I guess you couldn't have been planning anything."

The witch sighed quietly. It didn't matter. It had felt good when she trusted him but she was drunk. Now she was sobering up and he couldn't exactly expect her to stay nice. Besides, earlier he had been wanting her to talk a bit more like herself hadn't he? "Don't be sorry, you're right" Why should she be sorry though really? She snapped at him, big deal. They would be here all night if they had to list all the things he should be sorry for.
He found himself thinking about last time he saw her. He hadn't said goodbye then, so he was glad he got to see her again. Only this time he hoped would be the last time. As much as he adored this girl, it was like she said, he did have a lot to fix. To be honest he wasn't really sure if he could do it all by himself. He had no way of knowing that next time there paths crossed that he wouldn't have gone back to how he was before.

"No, thank you for earlier. I'm a pretty forgiving person, if you want to change than I think I can forgive everything eventually." As much as she had always held a grudge against him, seeing him not being crazy and trying to kidnap her, was making her not hate him so much.
"If your not going home, than where are you going to stay. You can't just wonder around all night" Well she knew that she couldn't, how was she to know if he could or not. She had asked that question more than once but she felt bad that he didn't have anywhere to go.

He smiled slightly, reminding himself that even though she was sobering up, she was still drunk so he shouldn't really count to much on what she just said. "You know you're to nice for you're own good?" He was still smiling though.
Where was he going to stay? Good question. His plan had gone as far as just walking until he couldn't anymore. Where ever it was that he crashed out, well he could just sleep there. It sounded OK to him. "Dunno, probably in a field or a tree or something. As long as it doesn't start raining I don't really mind"

She smiled slightly at his comment "You're saying I'm nice. I don't think I've ever been nice to you, till now of course. But yet again all those times I think I had a pretty good reason to be mean.."
Tilting her head to the side, she looked at him carefully. When she was fully sober she would probably look back on this and think that she was insane. "Why don't you just stay here, I mean I don't know if you'd be comfortable to stay here but they do have other rooms. And I wouldn't worry about me being all freaked out in the morning, I'm sure I'll remember saying all this in the morning."
Aside from the headache that was forming and from how tired she was, she really didn't feel all that drunk anymore, even though she knew that she was still. Not enough time had passed for it to get out of her system fully.

"Well as much as i would love to stay here with you" He started, looking from her to Cas, then back to her again, "I'm still in the middle of town. You might be quick to forgive but it doesn't mean that they are" It was bad enough now being on enemy territory, in the morning they would all be up out of bed and out int he streets. Walking the rest of the way through town then would be hell. Apparently the whole paranoia thing wasn't at the top of his list of things that he needed to fix.
"You look shattered, you really should go to sleep now" He was pretty sure that if she didn't go to sleep she would probably pass out again. This time it was OK though, she was safe in a hotel room not out on a street.

"I personally think you're overreacting about the towns people, but it's your choice." She didn't completly understand why he was so freaked out by the town, and all the people in it. Sure most the people were idiots that didn't have a clue about anything that went on. The people that she had been with before she had decided to leave and go out on the streets, were just dumb gossipers themselves.
She nodded "Yeah I'll get to that." Now she was feeling a little more awake, but as soon as he mentioned sleep she started to feel tired again.

Cas suddenly smirked, pulling his head from the soft, fluffy confines fo the pillows. When that cat was smiling, as he was now, many people took it into their minds to run very fast in the oppisite direction.
"Hey...why not stay with me, witch-boy? You'll be one hell of a lot safer from those townspeople you're so phobic about in Wonderland...and, plus, your lovely Alice will be there." He chirped, leaping onto all fours and dashing over to Zeque. He looked with those wide, decivingly innocent amber eyes and smiled. "Well? Whatya think?"

Over-reacting to the town people? He didn't think so at all, but then again he really did think they were out to get him so he wouldn't. He didn't say anything though. Then his attention was on Cas again as the cat suggested going back to that wonderland place. "Umm..." He thought about it. Well tagging along with Cas didn't sound like a bad idea really. At the end of the day it was a lot better then his idea of just sleeping in a field. But before the Witch could say anything else there was a bang on the door.
Zeque froze up right away. Someone was outside in the hotel corridor, not just knocking but banging on the door. He hadn't thought of it before but he already had a pretty damn good idea what it was about. His gaze shifted back to the place where the Cat had been sitting whilst chewing on that womans finger. Either she had gotten help and told someone what happened, or the silly cow had bled to death and someone found her...
